The ACCME accreditation system is supported by more than 150 volunteer surveyors. Accreditation surveyors are vital in helping the Council meet its mission and objectives. Their knowledge of the CME industry and the ACCME's Elements and Policies make them ideally suited to assist the Council by conducting interviews with accreditation applicants and by providing the Council with necessary documentation of preliminary compliance findings.

We are proud that CME Enterprise President Bruce J. Bellande, PhD, FACME, CCMEP, has been a site surveyor for ACCME since 1990 and has conducted over 60 site surveys of ACCME-accredited providers and applicants across the country. In addition, Dr. Bellande assists the Council by leading educational workshops offered by the ACCME. His leadership role in industry is widely recognized and contributes to continuous quality improvement in the accreditation system and continuing medical education.
