CME Enterprise is an
ACCME-accredited provider whose mission is to create
learner-centered interventions anchored in the art and science of
medicine that advance clinical competence resulting in optimal
patient care.
Why are we different?
1. WE INVEST IN OUR
PEOPLE.
- President and Compliance Officer Bruce
Bellande, PhD, FACME, CCMEP, is a respected leader, frequent
presenter, and has a solid understanding of the challenges and
opportunities facing CME.
- Department managers have worked
together at CME Enterprise for over 8 years, which attests to
our stability, cohesiveness, and adaptability.
- Our aggressive continuous professional
development program has been recognized by the Alliance for
Continuing Medical Education with its 2010 Award for Innovation in
CPD and by the North American Association of Medical Education and
Communication Companies for Best Practice in Professional
Development. This program, required of all staff, ensures our
commitment to compliance, pursuit of certifications, and internal
performance improvement aligned with Alliance competencies.
- Three of our staff have attained CCMEP
certification, with more to come.
- More than three-quarters of our staff have
received Yellow or Green Belts through Lean Six Sigma (LSS)
training.
- Nearly all of our staff have completed the
36-hour Project Management Institute (PMI) training course.
- All of our staff have individualized learning
plans and curricula.
2. WE ENSURE PROCESS
OPTIMIZATION.
- Process optimization and efficiencies are
achieved through continuous quality improvement and application of
LSS and PMI principles.
- Adoption of Six Disciplines strategies and
directives enables us to strategize, plan, organize, execute,
measure, and learn to best serve our constituents, resulting in
deliberate business excellence.
3. WE EMBRACE NOVEL
PROJECTS.
- We seek opportunities to share our LSS
competence by including systems quality improvement components into
educational interventions, such as in "A Bridge to Quality:
Engaging Continuing Education and Quality Improvement Professionals
in Healthcare Quality Improvement," a joint
project with the Indiana University School of Medicine that
includes interactive train-the-trainer workshops, supplemental
materials, a Web portal and community of practice, and a research
component.
- We pursue and participate in unique
collaborations including AREA (Antimicrobial Resistance Education
Alliance) and CS2day (Cease Smoking Today, a 9-partner multiyear
initiative to decrease the number of persons who smoke through
tailored educational offerings and resources ranging from
conferences and print materials to television formats, hand-held
tools, and performance improvement projects; CS2day received the
2009 Award for Collaboration in CME from the Alliance for CME and
the North American Association of Medical Education and
Communication Companies' award for Best Practice in Collaboration
Among CME Stakeholders in 2010).
- Staff niche expertise allows us to provide
nontraditional services including consultation, specialty
association support, and research- and evaluation-based
projects.
These key differentiators translate into unique
benefits for our constituents, particularly high quality,
effectiveness, and compliance.
